What a company or person search at the Public Registry of Panama shows, what is not public, and when a search is appropriate.

Company searches
A search shows whether a company is registered and active, its registration details, directors, officers, resident agent, legal representative and registered amendments.
What is not public
Shareholders of a Panama corporation are generally not listed in the Public Registry.
Person searches
A search by name shows the registered entities where a person appears as director, officer or subscriber, and property registered in their name, where applicable.
Lawful use
Searches are carried out only for lawful purposes, such as due diligence before a business deal, a purchase or a legal proceeding.
